![]() The Commission has all powers related to airports as granted under the State law (Code of Iowa, Sec. The duties and powers of the Perry Airport Commission are covered in Chapter 26 of the City of Perry Code of Ordinances, 2001. In an effort to insure continuity and protect historical records of the Perry Municipal Airport, the Perry City Clerk provides the secretarial services for the commission. From the five member commission the members elect a Chairperson who serves a term that is decided by the Commission. ![]() The members of the commission are not compensated for the services that they provide. The Perry Municipal Airport is governed by the Airport Commission of three resident voters of the City of Perry and two at-large individuals who are appointed by the Perry City Council for staggered four year terms. The aircraft maintenance is provided by Walter Aviation which is a private business operated by the current Airport Manager, Jonathan Walter. Amenities offered at the facility include 24 hour per day fueling, 100 octane and jet fuel, aircraft parking and tie down, long term vehicle parking, a passenger terminal and lounge, a courtesy car, and aviation maintenance if needed. ![]() Perry Municipal Airport houses 19 aircraft, three of which are jet fueled planes. The Perry Municipal Airport has two runways one of which is paved with two approaches while the other is a turf runway. The Perry Municipal Airport is located three miles west of Perry. ![]()
